The Palm Springs Air Museum houses one of the nation's largest collection of World War II flying aircraft displayed in modern, well lighted, air-conditioned and clean hangars. Our Buddy Rodgers Theater shows daily documentaries about aviation in the military with an emphasis on World War II. In addition to planes and historic artifacts, the museum is host to a library of 6300 volumes primarily related to aviation and American military history.

The Desert Art Center, which was established in 1950 and the oldest art organization in the Coachella Valley, is a non-profit group whose purpose is to promote art in the community and provide scholarships to Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Cathedral City High School seniors. The co-op now has over 140 artist members many of whom display their artwork and are nationally known. Paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels and other media in addition to prints, sculptures, ceramics, glasswork, bronze, photography and art cards are all on sale at reasonable prices.

In 1983 Jim Ruddy integrated his extensive 35 year collection of general store merchandise with a museum that he purchased in the Mid-West. The museum had been the collection of a Depression-Era liquidator who had kept his pick of the finest store fixtures and merchandise in his basement for 40 years. The result is one of the largest complete displays of unused general store merchandise in the country. Open on Saturday and Sundays - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
