An important health & safety message from BOOST
Dear BOOST Partners,
Thank you all for your patience over the last few weeks while we have been monitoring and navigating the on-going developments of the COVID-19 (also known as novel Coronavirus) pandemic. As of Thursday, March 12th, the County of Riverside has ordered all large gatherings to be canceled or postponed in order to slow transmission of communicable diseases generally and COVID-19 specifically.
ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE:
All events within the jurisdiction of the Public Health Officer of the County of Riverside with an expected attendance of at least 250 individuals taking place between March 12, 2020, and April 30, 2020, inclusive are hereby ordered canceled, regardless of the venue.
In order to honor our BOOST Community values and your learning, we are NOT canceling the 2020 BOOST Conference, but are postponing our convening to this fall. Because BOOST is an experience, we do not feel a virtual option aligns with our culture or will provide a quality learning experience at this time. We are working closely with the City of Palm Springs, the Greater Palm Springs Visitors and Convention Bureau, and the Palm Springs Convention Center to amend our convening dates. We are currently looking at dates in October and November and will know more about exact dates based on availability early next week.
We are upholding our cancellation date of March 15, 2020. Our refund policies will remain intact for attendees and exhibitors.
Good news- All attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors currently registered will have the opportunity to transfer their April 28-May 1, 2020 registration(s) to the fall BOOST Conference dates. We will provide the announcement of our fall BOOST Conference dates next week and the next steps. We appreciate your patience while we establish the logistics around this and look forward to reconvening in Palm Springs this fall.
Per our registration policy, districts and organizations can hold these spots and substitute names (as needed) at a later time prior to our fall conference.
If you are currently booked at any of our partner hotels for the April 28 - May 1, 2020 BOOST Conference, we recommend that you cancel your hotel. We will provide new links in the coming weeks for fall hotel bookings.
Please stay up-to-date on real-time updates and announcements on our social media forums.
We recognize that all schools and community-based organizations are navigating this crisis internally and we want you to know we are sending “virtual hugs” to all of you. We appreciate you and look forward to collaborating with you. Stay safe and healthy.
