Join Dr. Robin Elliott as she discusses practical, evidence-based strategies to build resilience with an emphasis on self-awareness. The session will offer information and insights about resiliency-building work in the community-connecting schools, nonprofits, and other community resources to create a network of support for young people and their families. Veronica Calvo will share resources to develop an SEL action plan to inspire confidence, overcome challenges, and transform teaching and learning.

Harmony SEL is excited to share wisdom from four of our partners in the Out-of-School Time field. Our moderator, Harmony SEL Director, Lauren Puzen, will lead a lively discussion around ways to encourage student voice to address the challenges of the day, trauma-informed care, diversity and inclusion, virtual learning, and isolation due to the pandemic.

Harmony SEL brings you UNICEF Kid Power, a free platform that connects kid’s everyday activity to real-world support that UNICEF and its partners deliver to children in need globally and locally. Information will be provided for non-profit organizations to connect with the Fundraising Academy; Cause Selling Education to bolster their philanthropic efforts.

Larry and Lisa share their expertise and experience scaling up implementation of SEL in different organizations; one in a local community and one nationwide. Successful implementation and adoption of SEL practices bridges the gap between in-school and out-of-school classrooms. They offer practical examples of systems and practices that support a coordinated effort to support social and emotional learning throughout a child’s day.
